The target groups of bike tourism shape a nice pyramid when comparing their relative size to the complete population. By the way who are cyclists or who are called as ‘cycling tourist’?
First of all we should necessarily distinguish some target groups. There are certain different approaches but I really like the idea of the Hungarian Bike Tourism Strategy written by COWI Hungary and Econo Consult.

You must approach all these user groups in a different way, as their relationship to cycling and tourism is merely different.
